    Thanks for reblogging this Richard! I am even more impressed by Caro after reading an excerpt of his book that was in the New Yorker (April 2…I’m so behind! Unfortunately, the article is not online: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2012/04/02/120402fa_fact_caro ). It was one of the more dramatic pieces of history writing I’ve ever read. He did some impressive things with point of view, circling the action in cinematic fashion.
